Yes that is the normal price. Late last year it was 158 Euro so it depends on the exchange rate at the time. I think the charge is whatever is the equivalent of £119. It is a very good service. My husband renewed his the Friday before last and they said it would be 8 working days. Got a phone call this morning to say it is ready to collect.

At the British High Commission in the North. You can download the forms off the internet or collect one from the BHC. Take it in to the BCH and they do some of the paperwork there and then which is handy because my husband's signature was too feint and wouldn't scan properly so he was able to sign again there and then. It takes 8 working days and they will phone you to let you know it is ready. For info, you can only pay in Euro and you cannot take a mobile phone into the building.

My mate Mustapha can get you one in 24 hours. You don't even need an up to date photo.

He has lots of spare photos. You can use one that looks like you.

Bit expensive though.

He's also a quite busy at the moment. When I asked him why, he mentioned something to do with "all these new Turkish Banknotes". Then he shrugged his shoulders like my mechanic.

I know it's a fat lot of good if you're not visiting the UK, but I've just had mine done in London on their super-fast 4 hour turn round scheme. It cost £114, considerably cheaper than the standard rate at the BHC.

Ian the BHC is £119 so not much different although I realise it is not a same day service.
