Definitely and such a shame. It was on the front page of Cyprus Today on Saturday. Going to be a blow to what little tourism we have left. Karen

They are very popular but unfortunately tourism has died down so much due a lot to bad publicity and the property development, and I suppose the cost of flights, that people over the past couple of years have been staying away. Karen

yes, we have been with them twice and found them ok. However we have booked to go with Direct Traveller beginning of Feb from their winter brochure and today there summer brochure arrived through post. First time I have seen a full brochure dedicated to North Cyprus with British Airways, First choice, Monarch, Thomson, XL Airways and KTHY listed as partner airlines for this destination. All the main hotels are listed and many boutique ones that I was unaware of. Prices are reasonable if you book by the end of the month but still looks expensive if you were aiming at the family market. Amazingly child prices are only up to 6 years of age (even younger in some of the more upmarket hotels) and on average £360 per child. How do they hope to tap this market and encourage tourism? Having said that, prices for adults seem on par with Cyprus Paradise.

yes, we also have used Cyprus Paradise many times and always found them to be most helpful, although the prices were a little expensive, especially when children are flying, we always paid about £239 each (flight only), that was stansted to ercan. Green Island l would also recommend as an alternative.

East Hull, It does not actually state in the brochure the destination airport. Simply says it will be either Ercan or Larnaca. However the flights are from 100 regional airports including Humberside, Doncaster, Leeds Bradford and East Midlands which for us Northerners is a God send. Pick up transport is also included. Sue

East Hull If the majority of flights are with BA, Monarch and Thompson then definitely into the south with transfers to the north. CTA will obviously be to the North. Karen

Yes, I'm sure it will be Larnaca. Ercan from Manchester and the London airports. But it is easier to travel from Larnaca than for northerners to travel to the London Airports.

We used Cyprus Paradise twice a year for three years before we bought our property - we were always very pleased with service. We did hear in Sept 07 from hotel owner in TRNC that Cyprus Paradise was looking for a buyer.

The Cyprus Paradise issue is just the tip of the iceberg, I belive that several Hotels have closed there doors recently throughout the winter months for the first time, as it has not been financially viable to actually open up !, The Local government needs to urgently review its global commitment to advertising and promotion of the tourism sector which it is so heavily reliant on the investment and trade associated with this industry Admittably, we are in the midst of a global slump which impacts on all of us, but people will tighten the purse strings and look for better vlaue when faced whith such dilemas Indirect flights, monopolies on prices and uncertanties, bad press and negative PR do not help either Regards Panhandler
