I am looking for an advocate who is impartial and does not work for any of the developers. Does anyone know if there is such a person in either Girne, Lefkosa or Famagusta?

Our agent recommended Ayhan to us.

She may be recommended by developers, but she has been very efficient during our purchase.

If there was a truly independent, impartial, professional, competent, properly qualified 'advocate' with a good reputation, who charged reasonable fees, took pride in their work, then they would be IMHO inundated. Unfortunately I have yet to find one although I accept that the legal system doesn't help.

Oh, and who doesn't ask for massive and unexplained lump sum fees up front, who accepts that they really do owe their client a duty of care and is not going to use the 'you didn't ask me the right questions' cop out excuse when it all goes badly wrong.

My wife is always in court in the mornings and she is always in a rush from one case to another. So her phone is always in the silent mode and can hardly answer any calls in the mornings. Her level of English is not as good as mine and thus finds it difficult to discuss any problems in English on the phone but she does deal with all the e.mails. If need be she writes in Turkish and I translate everything into English for her free of charge

She has also dealt with things as par for the course, which I did not instruct her to.

Actually, she is unwell today, but still answered an email from me within ten minutes.

why don't you give her company a try?? or Ismet's wife
