I know this has been posted before but it looks like it was a year ago. Can anyone suggest a good hire co in the south that will allow car to be brought here and can supply car seat/ booster seat.

Thanks

Pogle , take a look at http://www.cyprus-car.com

It 's marked above the topic .

They deliver your car at Larnaca Airport , papers and insurance for the north is fine.

jurgen i dont have nothing to gain by saying this.

Type in the 30th march, arr at 2100 and return car on the 13 april at 1800 on both sites. You will find it is LESS than half price !

Ive mentioned these dates because i have booked one !

Then don't forget you have to purchase insurance for the North at the crossing and you are then only only covered for 3rd. party risks

Also if you have problems, a breakdown or worse a crash it is your responsibilty to get the car back to the south.

Would you drive a hire car in the UK only 3rd party insurance????

collected a car last year from cyprus car last year at lca airport .

very courteous and prompt service and had corresponded well via email etc before arrival.

car wasnt what i ordered and was much more expensive than quoted.

i took it north all the same .my opinion it worked out dearer than taxi and car hire in north ,also insurance risk ,also i believe they gave me older poorer quality car as it was doing north .

for me north car hire and taxi service wins hands down

Renting from the North is not always practical. When we come in the summer we will do a bit of driving into the South like shopping / water-park etc so if you hire from the north you can not do this but if you hire from the south you have that extra flexibility. Unless car hire in the north or the souths attitude has changed

Even if you can't drive accross to the south with a Turkish hire car, you will still be saving loads......when ever you want to cross to the south, just take a taxi.......you'll still be saving LOADS!

drive towards famagusta on lefkosa to fam rd.

think it has 2 names pyla or pergamo (spelling ?) .you will see a large mosque and petrol station ,turn and keep going straight for around 5miles ,over roundabout and into town .

cant drive any further as at bottom of main street is the crossing point .coffee shop next to crossing and he will arrange a taxi .

from crossing point is over in taxi and through airbase ,onto motorway and half hr maximum you will be in the water park .

just arrange them to pick you up as i did when it closes from car park
