Anyone know if these are available yet? If so, how much and where can you get them?

I know that '3' in the UK do them and they are about £70, but they only work with their system (I think in the same way some phones are lockd to one company).

I heard somewhere that Turkcell are releaing one????????

Any help will be much appreciated... CHEERS!

I heard you can order them from Comaks in Girne, maybe worth checking.

MM msg 10

"ErolZ, would kit like this do the job?"

Sorry MM I really could not say. Although the device is 'unlocked' (though what that means as it is not actually a 3g modem, but allows for the plugging in of usb 3g modems, is not clear). I just do not know how 'standard' the protocals for authentication and connection are with 3G networks. I suspect they are more proprietary than say ADSL. Just having an unlocked device is not enough, it has to 'know' how to authenticate itself and connect to a given network. Sorry I can not be more specific.

As I have said before it would be very useful if people could post here if they have got Turkcell or Telsim 3G services in Cyprus working with 3rd party devices , especially routers as these are not currently avail from Turkcell or Telsim afaik. Details of exatcly what device you have got working would be very helpful to others.
