There are other ways of taking your pet back to England, but am not sure of all the details. There are some EU countries that you can take your pet to without quarantine, but they have to stay in that country for 6months I think, and then you can take them to England on a pet passport. KAR will probably know all the details.

I wish this would change. I hate the idea of my animals having to do 6 months quarantine when I go back. But that will be the only option. No way could I ever leave them here as some people do.

Ive heard of people returning via France, but it des appear thatyou have to spend 6 months there before you can then go on to the U.K.

Once in France you need to check IN DETAIL THE REQUIRMENTSFOR TEN MOVING ON TO THE U.K!!

Hi,

We've just brought a homeless dog back from TRNC to the UK. She's got 8 weeks left to go in quarantine, which has passed a lot quicker than we expected. 6 months quarantine isn't as bad as you think - I think it's worse for the owner than the dog! We used a lovely lady called Margaret at KAR and she organised everything for us, including the paperwork and taking the dog to the airport. I would thoroughly recommend her.

Why do you people worried about your dogs/cats going into Quarantine kennels. For gods sake they are animals not children and they are extremely well looked after. My animals go into pet hotels when I go on holiday and they have not suffered at all. They probably enjoy it actually with all the other animals there. Some of you shoild watch a programme called "The Dog Whisperer"and you might learn how to look after and treat your dogs.I am not saying that you mistreat your dogs but they have to be treated as dogs and not humans.Watch it if you get the chance..
