250 TL - a snip !

What planet are they on ? - takes about 1 minute to do the paperwork, so 15,000 TL per hour....

Perhaps the DVLA could learn a thing or two ?

Thanks for that. Who normally pays for log book change. Buyer or seller?

Our Turkish friend has just come back from Lefkosa where he went to change a log book into his brothers name, who incidently has residency here, and was told it is 1080 Lira. This is for a Ford Transit.

How can they justify that?

at a guess I would say that the vehicle taxes have not been paid by the previous owner and are outstanding, they have to be up to date when you transfer the car or vehicle to another person or company.
