So get this one I'm sick of my 3 rhododenrums prematurely attempting to open. Then what happens is the frost burns the buds and they don't flower. Now i accept this is a bit sad but Ive started to cover them up at night. If anyone can be as sad as that,I'm open to comment. Regards as always pete

Hi Pete, you need to cover them with fleese when frost is about but remove it during the day. Now is a good time to feed them with a good ericaceous liquid feed. Cooper

If there is still any danger of frost lightly spray any potential early budding blooms with a dilute sugar solution. Sets a glaze on the tender parts, hold ‘em in a little longer and offers slight environmental protection. Does work but a bit hit and miss. Sugar dries and then drips off as the sun hits the sprayed areas. Sir Skogs picked this tip up on his earlier crusades. Bonjour.
