Why is it you can post statements anonymously , knock businesses and potentially put people out of work on here ? and it is continually allowed to carry on yet so many innocuous threads are closed ?

You are so correct, there was even a post a shortwhile ago about Carringtons which was completely unfounded.



What people seem to think is that just because they are on the internet it is ok to make unfounded allegations, of course these people are wrong.



It is very possible firstly for them to be traced and secondly for an aggrieved party to sue them for making malicious allegations.



The message here is do not make unfounded allegations.

Well by taking no action and allowing anonymous posting /questioning and or criticising a businesses some would say encouraging ???

I would like to think that most people on this board can make up their own minds about services in the TRNC and I take most of what I read on here with a pinch of salt. After all the main reason for me living in the TRNC was because of the slagging off it got by the GC's when we took a holiday many years ago in the South. If people believe what they read and hear without trying for themselves then it is their loss and nobody else's.

Nige you know my stance on supporting local businesses and if we moderated every poster that criticized a service in the TRNC then we would have no posters (much like another Board we know about). Who are we to determine the accuracy of every posting?
