I think you'll find none show prices, the reason being, gold prices change so frequently.

I can recommend the jewellers in Girne, Recap, it's on the corner as you turn left to got to 1001.

I've used them often, and they're very good

Was wanting to be able to pick on a price range as dont have a clue, As its a surprise gift, will have to go without my better half, who knows a bit about jewellery.

Anyway going by the recommendations I am sure I will manage fine.

Try SENAK just up from the harbour near to the old Mosque, we have purchased some lovely peices from there over the years Hussain is always helpfull and will make custom peices for you at a very reasonable price.

Have always found Ayanlar jewellers very helpful - recently purchased a pair of engagement bands from them - the staff could not have been any more helpful - they opened the shop early to enable me to go before work with my partner to choose the design we wanted, we bought the rings at a great price too!!!!!

Many thanks to the staff at Ayanlar for going out of their way to help me

No NN I don't.

For starters, they've donate to our SOS raffle, and repaired jewellrey free of charge.

And to be honest, I really haven't spent that much in there, so how could they have possibly shanked me????(whatevever that is!!!!!!)

They are just very friendly, helpful, do a good job, and are fair priced.

Is that enough to allow me to recommend them??????

Only wish we had the funds to go there more often..............

The Aston Martin is just for the school run, you should see the others, a BMW, and a Mercedes, both sports versions.

All jewellers the world over are in the "rich" list.

We bough my engament ring from Senak, they were really helpful and didn't pressure us at all. I went to lots of places and to them 3 times before I finally made my mind up.

When I got back to England I had it valued for insurance reasons and found I had got the ring for a very good price. Hope that helps.

for me the best one is in Nicosia and called erdinç jewellery.

he always gets only one sample of everything so you don't end up seeing the same necklace that you paid a fortune on somebody else.

if you buy something of him and u end up not being happy with it, he would always change it as well.

he is placed in the center of Nicosia, opposite to Saray Hotel

hi bella

i usually use the same shop but the one in girne gives me a better deal.

probably because he knows me now.

he has also fixed things for me in the past for free, things i didn't even buy there.

always weighs the item in front of us and will haggle on price.

i have shopped there for about 5 years and never had any problem with anything.

i would highly recommend them.

altinbaş in Lefkoşa has done for me in the past the one opposite the iş bank near the courts. don't know if they still do it. mine was made from English 9ct but some places won't look at 9ct now.

also Erdinç has shops in Girne so you don't have to go to Lefkoşa, the owner is the same. they also have the Zen diamond shop. but at the end of the day it's all about getting the price you are happy with.

Looking to buy a locket for my granddaughter either white gold or silver, must be a good size locket so that she can put her photo's inside, and not a chain that will snap she is 12 years old also not a silly price.

As when I looked at a simple pair of silver earrings last year when they were weighed they said £300 what come on they would have been around £60 in the UK so dont want to be ripped off.

any help would be appreciated

Jewellers shops in Turkey and NC won't show prices as you are expected to haggle and I have found prices to be better in Turkey. Having said that, earlier in the year we went into a shop in Side and asked how much for a puzzle ring similar to one that I paid £90 for 5 years ago, they quoted £350! I know gold prices have gone up but not by that much. I think it's a case of the British being looked at as a cash cow.

Sheila, the jeweller in Istanbul was messing around.Mentioned this to Mustafa in Iktisatbank he suggested his cousin, also called Mustapha in Lefkosa !!.

The shop is called Pirlant, easy to find,as you start the pedestrian only roads about 100m from Ledra street crossing.Good English, lovely to deal with.

If still interested I have phone number and exact address.

I did make a purchase!!!

ZEN Jeweller in Kyrenia. Doesn't show prices but got a good deal from him on Saturday. Ring quoted at 490 YTL Cash Price? 450 TL I eventually bought it for 400. Doesn't hurt to bargain, or at least make a lower offer
