hi hattinkins,

you could always put the title into the search bar on amazon, that would have some results.

Tried that but aren't 100% sure of the title, thought maybe Macha would have known the authors name !

I will try the other names suggested, thanks guys.

Have found it on Amazon but priced at £130, is it on sale anywhere in TRNC at a more realistic price.

Thanks for all your help.

Hattikins - just out of curiosity, why is this quite small book so expensive? Have read Genocide Files, but had not heard of this until now.

Good luck in your quest!!

I have the book I can lend it to you. I'll be back in TRNC 1st April. Or you could try the Pegasos bar near Lemar on the Lapta road, it's where I bought my copy from.

hattikins,

I'll say this now - the book is in the same league as Genocide Files. It starts off OK, but the prejudice and hate creeps in about halfway through. You can actually tell where the ghostwriting kicks in almost as if it was ordered. And no surprises why - it shares the same publisher as Genocide Files, because no reputable publisher would touch it. And it was sponsored by Turkey.

So if you want anything unbiased and uncorrupted, don't touch this book.

I am sure most people read books with ref; to both sides...as in life always two sides with most things..its when people are not open minded,we face problems..

But spider. There are a lot of people around whose education came mainly from an HP sauce label. These people should be pointed towards something balanced simply because they know so little and are likely to believe anything. North Cyprus is chocka with folk like that.

There`s a big surprise;

Macha, Pike, Juliet, whatever the current name is thinks this book is a biased political diatrabe.

May I suggest Mein Kampf or Das Kapital as light bedside reading?

The newsagents opposite the round tower always has plenty of copies on the front of the counter. I am sure I only paid about 7 YTL last time I bought a copy. I don't think it is available outside TRNC. It is a much more objective account than the Genocide Files. The author is well educated and far from narrow minded or bigoted. She just speaks as she found.

Thank you for your kind offers of a loan of the book, I will be in touch with you soon, when in TRNC I will then by my own copy.

Thank you for your advice Macha but I prefer to make my own mind up, incidentally I do not read HP labels, or the Daily Mail, I had a university education and so am able to read quite well and even write joined up letters, but thanks anyway.

hattikins,

If you had a university education - and graduated at the end of it - you will indeed make your own mind up about this book. Remember every essay you wrote and the dissertation you should have completed? They had to contain proper references and a bibliography of sources to prove facts, balance and objectivity.

Shall we revisit this subject after you've read the book? ;) ;)

Macha,

When, not if, I graduated I am pleased to say that I had, and still have, an open mind on a great many subjects and the intelligence to tell fact from fiction, a skill not yet aquired by some people.

No offence but I have seen enough of your postings on this subject that I feel any further discussion with you on the same would be pointless.

Hattikins,

Just let the forum know what you think about the book. Everyone's entitled to an opinion. What was your subject and alma mater, BTW?
