| We are researching on early retirement in TRNC . We need to know what annual income you would need to live comfortable we intend to start off in our 2 bed apartment so advice on cost of all year ecectric, gas , property taxes etc , we intend to run a car , as we are 30 min drive from girne. I know it depends on ones life style but would really welcome some basic advice on cost . also are there associations , expats meetings ,evening classes etc ,that we could go along to to help us meet new friends . |

| Being half of a couple, during 2007 we spent £12,000 or there abouts.
That's a 1.2ltr, small automatic car doing 25,000kms, serviced twice a year (350YTL for 2007), Car tax 105YTL, Insurance 150YTL. Fuel cost for 2007 was 4100YTL. Eating out 3 times a week at around 30YTL a head on each occassion, (around 600YTL a month).
Council tax is dependant on size but 200YTL a YEAR will cover it.
There are associations to join and lots of UK style pubs for social circle. |
