| never mind the Bisto shortage what about the non availabilty of fresh milk. I have been trying since Tuesday to get some at every "supermarket" west of Girne to no avail. One shop offered the explanation that the bottling machine had broken down. We really do live in a third world country! And no don't say use longlife because it doesn't work on porridge or cornflakes! |

| maningi pusa, think yourself lucky there is long life milk. Back in 1981 there was a period where you could get no milk of any description for about 2 months, the plant really had broken down, and in those days there was not the option of 'popping over the border'. It really was a third world country then and do you know what, it was a wonderful place to be! |
