This morning I noticed some posts by Billyb on the Seaterra apology topic with valuable information that will help current owners, not to mention people who might be considering purchasing from Seaterra. This has now disappeared. Seaterra mortgage topics before it have also disappeared, and other Seaterra topics have been closed down. All of which contained valuable information, which I thought Cyprus44 was all about. Why is this continually being covered up?

Because the forum rules were written by a 5 year old and they are enforced by (some) moderators who act like 6 year olds.Common sense plays no more anymore I'm afraid. Why the moderator who closes the informative threads down dont explain their actions beats me.I've asked this before about another thread been closed and nobody owned up.

There are many threads that have been closed for no purpose. Threads that SHOULD be closed are those of married men, PRETENDING to be single advertising themselves as available for marriage but in fact have a wife!!!!

Rowlo, I don't think you would be saying that if you were one of the unfortunate people who had purchased on there. I think that if the mortgages were given by a company in the British Virgin Islands, and not a bank in the TRNC, then this seems even more suspicious. Please note Ismets comments on the previous post about mortgages with sister companies. Don't you think the public deserves to know that members of Seaterra staff have left, their sister company set up to do the management at the Reserve is no longer doing it, their office has closed, they are not building any more developments here? Billyb is quite right, this is exactly what Gary Robb did, financing his other projects by TRNC customers money. And if you recall, people at the time were trying to warn potential customers of his scams, and people were trying to cover it up then aswell. This brings me to Ismets post about collective responsibility: anyone who wants to hide these things are just a guilty as the purpetrators

Gooligan, it looks like Seaterras advertising has stopped on Cyprus44, perhaps Izzet is trying to woo them back, maybe Izzet could be so kind as to explain.

I have emailed Izzet to find out why the post was closed. All I said was,It would appear that its over 2 weeks since Sunnyday (seaterra) said on the Seaterra Reserve? thread that Seaterra would be sending out a letter of exclusion for the mortgages to owners, and it still hasn't been done. IMHO this should have been done when Seaterra clearly seriously breached many contracts years ago. At the very least an explanation and apologies should have been sent out to owners the following day after they were exposed on Cyprus44. I don not wish to scaremonger anyone, but burying your heads in the sand isn't good for anyone, and these are the facts that I've discovered so far: contd......

Seaterra have breached many contracts by taking out millions of pounds of mortgages on the Reserve, one of their offices has been shut down, key members of staff have left recently, their sister company Infinity who was doing the site maintenance on the Reserve has now stopped doing the maintenance, Seaterra are not developing in TRNC any more, however they are developing elsewhere, could it be that they are mortgaging your apartment (that you've paid for in full in good faith) to finance other projects? Isn't this what Gary Robb did?

Also there are some owners that have refused to pay any further money because of the huge mortgages/breach of contract and Seaterra have taken it upon themselves to cancel their contracts and refused to return their money. Seaterra need to address the above problems asap if they want to maintain any credibility on this Island because all the signs are pointing to them disappearing IMHO.

The millions of pounds worth of mortgage taken out by Seaterra wasn't given by a bank in TRNC, it was given by a company in the British Virgin Islands, which IMHO is very questionable as I was under the impression that the TRNC isn't recognized by any other country apart from Turkey. Is this a sister or pheonix company? For all those people who want to keep this quiet, you should be ashamed of yourselves, I hope to obtain further information and will post it asap. If your thinking about purchasing from Seaterra I would hold fire until we have further information.
