Hi i have had Bison Burgers and Ostrich . the burger was tasteless and the ostrich had a sauce on but it was quite nice

I did see one!! Honestly ....in the road in Alsancak a couple of years ago being chased by a man- sadly no one ever believed me and I stopped telling anybody because they thought I was losing the plot or had too much to drink!

The late Richard (Resat) Niazi kept ostriches on his land beside the landing beach (Alsancak) Rev Walker wrote about them when reviewing Resats classic car collection for Cyprus Today a couple of years ago.

hi,Charlotte,Yes you did see it and i for one belive you,we were driving down the main road two years ago,and one was trotting along beside the car.stright down the middle of the road..Huge.!! just trottde off..and we dont drink,.

There is an ostricht farm at Tuzla, near Famagusta. You can buy the meat and the eggs there. They say that one single egg can feed twenty people (on a diet I suppose)

My youngest son had ostrich at a Bouzy Rouge restaurant in Glasgow

few years ago when we were there for my daughter's graduation.

He was the only one who chose it but said it was 'good!'
