I seem some really big beautiful looking ones at the local markets, and want to buy them although I have no real idea how to cook them (Delia Smith I am not).

Advice would be appreciated. And are they v expensive - I've never asked. I'm not sure where it is, but this local marked is by a cross-roads, and they have the most fabulous produce there - what I have bought has been really cheap and excellent quality.

The only editing you can do is to re-read your posting and make your changes before hitting the post reply button.

Thanks, I'm just too quick to hit post - used to a site where you get a view of your post before actually posting it.

alanka, you said on the "Bitter Lemons of Cyprus" thread that you were going to Waterstones tomorrow to pick up a book. Is there a Waterstones in the trnc now?

No, I am Uk right now, coming over in early April, but quite happy to leave the book at a convenient place in the TRNC for anyone who wants to read it once I have finished with it.

But your message 1 states that you purchased an Artichoke today at the local market by the cross roads!

No, I see how my posting could have been misunderstood, my fault. I have bought lots of veg there, but not an artichoke yet - everything I have bought, spuds, cabbage, etc been great
