As we will soon be moving to Northern Cyprus to enjoy many happy years in retirement we are interested in purchasing a reliable car.

Does anyone have any advice on whether it is better to buy from the North or South of the Island as we wish to roam over all of the Island?

Also does anyone have any experience of a reliable dealer?

You are no longer able to own a south car in the north if you have a house in the north. This applies even if you have a house or property in the south.

They can tell from your "in and out's" how long you spend over here - if you live here and nip over to the south for a bit of shopping here and there, you are asking for trouble if you have a south registered car.

sooner or later the system will catch up with you.
