One of my sons has spent a lot of time in the TRNC, and goes back and forth through the borders.



He is quite used to this one female - who barely looks at him - certainly not in a friendly way.



Last time he went throught, she looked at him in the usual unfriendly way, then looked down, looked up at him again and could barely contain her smile.



Son says "I told you that b****y haircut I had (at the local barbers) was awful!"



It was....but we had spend ages convincing him he looked fine with what was almost a skinhead....he did look daft ....

Even though you do say some interesting things.. " I hope TRNC" doesn't join the EU" .. Cyprus - the WHOLE of it - is already in it ;) I liked your story.... tell us the barber so we can avoid it .... !



The BEST haircut I EVER had was in Istanbul - it was recommended in the Rough Guide to Turkey ;)
