Hi,we have only been here 3 weeks and want to do our first bus trip to Lefkosia from Girne.Do we go from the normal bus place by the court house or we have seen there is a bus station by the wednesday market?Also where do we get off,never been to Lefkosia before, we want to have a look around and cross over to the GC side and have a look at the Mall of Cyprus.

Any practical help would be much appreciated.

As far as I know, you'd better go to the bus place by the court house. You can find a bus, minibus or limousine mercedes there. I don't know about the others, but the fee to Lefkosa by mercedes is 4.50 TL per person. Besides, you can tell the driver where to get off. If you tell him to drop you at Kyrenia Gate (Girne Kapisi in Turkish), you will find yourself at the entrance to the old city of Lefkosa. Entering the gate, if you follow the main road about 1 km or so, you will find Saray Hotel. I think anyone around you will help direct you to "Lokmaci Gate", for passing to GC side. Then you'll need a taxi to go to the Mall.

I believe people here knows better than I do about the things to see in the old city. So, that's all from me... Have fun!
