New rule (# 11) for this board

A new rule for this board, introduced as Rule # 11, is valid from the next new thread.



It says: "When you start a new thread on Cyprus44 you have to donate 5 GBP to a Northern Cyprus charity fund".



Posters get a refund when six out of ten moderators think it is sensible post.



I think it's a good rule. It may stop the board pollution by silly posters.

I dont mind giving to a charity but its if and when I choose to. I didnt join cyprus44 to limit my postings to try and help people with questions etc so being asked to give £5 each time you will get fewer people posting for help.

I suppose it's great in theory, but in practice impossible to police. Now if someone can actually find a way of tying the idea of posting to an actual donation I'd be interested to hear it.

I've TOLD Dutch that Irony simply doesn't work on Forums, but I think he's convinced that it's just a matter of perseverance, and that he will succeed in the end...

It doesn't help that he refuses to use smileys, not that we have much choice on here!

I think he calls 'em something like "stolen trashy scribbles" (and I just KNOW that he'll correct me!).

Of course anyone who uses the Computer equivalent of the Betamax is bound to have an odd 'take' on the world
