Hi Myself and twenty of my friends are staying in a villa in Catalkoy, I was just wondering what there is around that area...walking distance hopefully. We were wondering what the nightlife is like and if there is any nearby, how much would taxi's be otherwise? And any suggestions for transport fro Larnaca to Kyrenia would be a great help!

Nightlife in Catalkoy? That one beats me! Unless you like to gamble away all night long at Viva Casino.



Taxis to Kyrenia cost around 15YTL and are all metered.



Transport for Larnaca. Around £40 each way, per vehicle, that carries 4 passengers.

There isn't much around Catalkoy, or too much in Girne either, I am assuming that you are 18-30 age group since you are asking that question at all?

If so, you may find things a bit quiet. There are some lovely restaurants in the area but they are a bit spread out and not many are walkable easily. When you arrive, get a copy of Cyprus Today newspaper, in this you will find ad's telling you what is on where and when.

depends where you will be located in catalkoy, there is a bar/club located at the far end entrance of catalkkoy which is ok forgot the name, theres is also the cotton jazz bar at malpas hotel

but if you want the proper nightlife you have to venture in to girne centre where there are loads of bars around the mariana and there a few nightclubs aswell as casino's, one that i go to is the rocks club which is open to to around 4am

also a good bar that i go to which play music is shakers bar belive you me you will find all the entertainment you need in girne centre but like what tim said you will have to get a cab which will cost around 15-20ytl

No nightlife as such in Catalkoy, few good bars though; Firemans Fez and Bar 11, or in Ozankoy try the Old Mill (Gastro Pub with Pool Table).
