It should also be pointed out that Mr Durduran is "one" of those TCs that "one" of our posters think is the only TC ( !) who believed that the RoC should still be the govt mechanism for Cyprus !

Last time the party took part in general elections polled less than 1% of the vote. They can hardly represent anybody except themselves as individuals. They know that they do not command any support and thus they prefer to boycott the elections habitually.



I must say the election system for parliament is very much against the independents. I think they have to get 50% of the vote in order to get elected which is almost impossible. However the elections for the Mayor is on an equal footing-the one with highest votes gets elected.
