I have also been on this medication for the past three months , I suffered with stomach problems and was given something to protect my stomach , did not work so have now come off them and gone back to Mobic , recomend also you see your doctor for a better one that better on the stomach , the nurse who takes my blood test says that they are the worst on the market for upsetting the stomach.

I too had to be taken off them as I had stomach cramps whilst taking them. As everyone says, go back to doctor and get them changed.

Mr Wick took them long-term for a back problem. Gave him a very bad stomach. Go back to your GP - you could have long-lasting problems if you take them long-term. J

It depends on what you are taking them for - there are so many pain relief medications on the market NEVER continue with something that just makes your life worse - whatever your condition, I would 'google' with the words "what is best medication for controlling/managing ******* condition". Or 'google' equivalent pain medication to diclofenic.....for instance I got "Oxaceprol is therapeutically equivalent to diclofenac, but better tolerated than diclofenac in the treatment of osteoarthritis" when I did just that on your behalf, but again, it depends on what your condition is, what medication is best.

Slimboyfat, you must stop taking them straight away. They are recognised side-effects and an alternative should be sought from an experienced Doctor. That type of medication is associated with upper intestinal bleeds, development of high blood pressure and also increased risk of heart attacks and strokes. They are effective at settling symptoms, but sometimes the price is a little too high to pay.

Robbie - message 14. Omeprazole or Lansoprozole, both brilliant, like a new lease of life for me! Available over the counter in TRNC, but agree consult doc first.

I take them occasionaly for inflamation of tendons. The only time I can say I had any problems was the second last time I took them. I had a bout of severe black depression for about two days I can only assume it was the tablets as by nature I am one of the happiest most laid back people you are likely to meet. Cyprus is made for people like me.
