Cyprus44 Usability - Should it be a wider design ?

Cyprus44 website (including forums) are all displayed with 780 pixel width so it fits to the minimum screen resolution of 800x600 pixel.



I am thinking of widening the website to fit 1024x768 pixel resolutions.

This will allow more content to be fit and will get rid of the whitespace on the left and right sides of the screen for most people (when Interner Explorer window is maximised).



From the website statistics, I can see that only 9% of the visitors use 800x600 pixel resolutions and over 90% of the visitors use higher resolutions.



Do you think I should switch to wider website design?

yes defo izzet

that way long messages wont take up too much space length ways and can fit more neatly width ways that way we will be able to fit more on a page without scrolling down for ages
