UK 0800 numbers what to dial?

HELP!



Does anyone out there no what to dial from a turkcell or telsim mobile to access a UK 0845 number?



Whatever permutation I try ie 0044 then drop the zero or ++44 drop the zero doesn`t work.



Any ideas?

Most 0845 UK number will not work internationaly.



You need to get a different number, most banks and the like have a seperate number for international access. Or use skype - that will work with 0845 numbers.

hi newscoop you cant ring a free phone number but i have rung 0845 numbers

i have done the same as you 0044845xxxxxxxx and it worked. it works on skype as i can always get through on that.maybe you have to keep trying and you dont always get the line xx

1/ SKYPE allowed uk 0800 / 0500 / 0808 ( etc.) free phone numbers to be dialled FREE.. Same for US and many other toll free numbers. Haven't tried recently.. Does any one know if it was stopped?



2/ Try using the syntax +44 845 on the mobile - works on a CYTA / MTM RoC sim



3/ visit http://www.saynoto0870.com and enter the "offending" number and see if you get a valid alternative - they don't always work... if not call the switchboard and explain your situation.



4/ I use my tiny Vonage adaptor- which merely plugs into most Broadband routers - it has a UK number and I can call 0845 numbers..



5/ If you have BT broadband and have the softfone, you can call UK 0845 for FREE at weekends and evenings... haven't tried it from Cyprus recently, but my Mum could bring out her laptop plug it into the ( Broadband) ADSL hub in Limas(s)ol and it worked - even with a non UK IP address - so BT KNEW the PC wasn't in the UK, and the calls to UK were local / free.

I Just keep trying and eventually it seems to work, may take 5 or 6 goes though,
