On the 24th of march i received the following unsolicited email from one of the forum moderators on here.

I do not know why I was included.



I have deleted names to protect the guilty.



But I do suggest if this is the way forum members are to be treated by mods it is time the forum was either closed or the mod concerned removed.



Sorry **** I cannot be bothered with your e-mails anymore, I have more important task's to see to. From now on your e-mails will be ending up in the spam bin. I would suggest that if you crave anymore attention then send your e-mails direct to Izzet.

The mod concerned has been involved in long standing cyber bulling going back 4 years or more.



I HAVE LEARNED TO LIVE WITH IT BUT IN HIS MODERATORS POSITION HIS PERSONAL THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS SHOULD BE PUT ASIDE.

By his heavy handed actions he is alianating more and more members.



Please do not incude me in your squabbles with forum members & remove me from you mailing list.

and as it says above the email I was copied in on was UNSOLICITED it was not sent to myself alone but to the recipient and 10 other forum members.

Surely this is a free forum, which izzet has worked hard to develop.



No-one pays any membership fees, but maybe thats a point for future discussion.



We are all free to post or not post.



If I come across a free forum that I dislike, I simply stop posting on it.





p.s. I thought you had your own forum now?

Yes I do have my own forum 99 % unmoderated due to members RESPECTING each other and the forun, I also have a live chatromm attached to the forum with up to 25 members online at any one time again virtually unmoderated,



I am of the opinion if you respect your members take on board their ideas cooments and feedback it is a good way to go treeating people you disagree with like naughty children does nothing for any forum.



I strenuousley disagree with some posts on my forum but members are entitled to their view and it does not have to be the same as mine, Izzet's view is the same but AT least one mod on here does not share this view.

I also got a copy of this email, funnily enough it was in my spam box, but I do know the route it has taken to get to individual members, not an ideal way to treat people in my opinion.

I haven't seen or received this email, so may not fully understand your comments.



If you are both concerned, surely it would be best to copy it on here so that other members, (nearly 5000 now), can make up our own minds and email Izzet if we feel the forum is not being run as we would like.



At the moment all we are getting is unspecified complaints.



I'd be happy to comment further, if I knew what I was commenting about.

I know where you are coming from but this email actually originated from a private email sent by a member of the board to a moderator, to publish it on here would be very intrusive and only serve to alienate certain people.

The moderator in question is of course entitled to communicate with the board member but I feel he should not have copied such a reply to other people.

Izzet provides this forum for free and the Moderators are also unpaid, but often receive abuse.



It is apparent though that the 'usual suspect' posters are the ones who initiate these squabbles.





Why don't they just stop posting and move somewhere else?

I don't spend as much time on here as I used to....and when I do I'm a bit more selective about what I bother reading or get involved in.

It's a system that works great for me.
