I hope someone can help me. I am going to UK tomorrow and need to use my mobile phone for an alarm. Does anybody know if the time on a mobile phone will automatically go forward 1 hour? I have moved it forward manually now (as I am off to bed) but am worried that if it changes automatically I will be an hour late!

Please does anybody know?

Thanks Blackpoolfan. Mine is Nokia too so I will assume it moves automatically. Better to wake an hour early than an hour late.

As far as I know the phone will ask for approval before adjusting the time. worst come to worst, if it puts the clock forward by one hour without asking you will wake up an hour early and not an hour late. So you are playing safe. Either you will wake up in time or one hour too early. In that case have an extra cup of tea on me

As far as I know at hotel rooms you can set the alarm through the telephone exchange of the hotel. Hence there is only one time to set even if the hotel has over a thousand room.

a few year back hubby was staying at the ship.

they told him his flight and transfer times had change to a later time.

then they woke him up in the middle of the night and told him he had about 10 mins to be ready.

they made a mistake but lucky he had packed the night before.

Well my Nokia phone didn't automatically change the time even though I went into settings and told it to! Luckily enough we had 2 phones and the other one was ok.

Coachie, the clocks go forward in TRNC too!!
