I have recently invested through FMA in bonds guaranteed by European banks/organisations, plus some Turkish Goverment bonds. Like all investments even banks in todays economic climate you can never be sure, but I did a lot of research and these appear to be good investments "at present". A number are AAA or AA+ rated these ratings set by independent ratings company and triple A about as good as you get.

Interest rates are excellant you need to allow for currency fluctuations and charges, so you need to time the purchase of your TL so as to maximise return.

Who knows what currency rates will be over the next few years, but as we live here more interested in income and hopefully rates will go up or down and we can manage when we sell or buy more.

Can you say what the interest rates are and for which currencies? It wasn't so long ago when FMA were saying never invest in TL, so what has changed?

I'm not going to write a detailed reply - all *I* can say is that my experiences with FMA are 100% positive.

I think he was right, but TL has lost value 20 - 30% against dollar and euro, if UK was not in such a mess it would have lost significantly against the pound !

I think many people invested a lot more than 10 grand with gary robb and came unstuck, do you think people would give you 10 grand ...the only person I would trust with 10 grand is myself..another con me thinks...and if all you financial whizzkids were so fekking clever how come the universe is such a bad way and the banks are falling apart...why dont you apply for the chancellor of the exchequers job..there will be a vacany very soon lol.

You would need to be completely crackers to give someone else your money to invest in the current economic climate.
