Just a gut feeling,but think the TL will strengthen v Pound,if so will be a good time to get back into Sterling from TL.

Good morning to all you 44 addicts,and that greeting is also extended to 6ms.

Must admit i would dearly like to drop back into sterling,not particularly to make any dosh just to simply to get out of the terrible rate that am in TL.IE about 6 weeks ago when sterling was week,lost my bottle and went into TL.Ah well i cant seem to find a crystal ball.

The exchange charts have been pretty volatile over the last 2 yrs.



Recently we have had 2 higher 'highs' and 2 higher 'lows' for the £.



This would be indicative of a new high for £, but at the moment it would need a move of at least 15pts to indicate a further high/low direction, depending on the 15pt move.



In simple terms, if the £ strengthens by at least 15 pts, short term, it should indicate a further rise to maybe 2.7+.



If the £ falls by at least 15 pts, the next move is further down for the £, maybe back to below 2.2.



This may all be rubbish, but that's how financial 'chartists' view it.

The pound isn't actually dropping, it's the Lira which is getting stronger.

Pound against the Euro and Dollar is up.

IMF backed away from the last round of talks as they wanted thier loan to be used by the Treasury (for infrastructure use) not to the Central bank (for proping up the Lira) and then asked for the last tranch of $8billion to be repaid as it was well over due from thier last loan conditions. Sounds like doing business in North Cyprus!

Unfortunately 'The green shoots of recovery' are just an economical blip and as far as the recession in the UK is concerned there is still a lot more to come. I reckon that there is still at least 3 years of recession (maybe 5) before things start to pick up.

Never change you money in the UK. You will always get a better rate here in North Cyprus. As a rule of thumb, if XE.com is showing as 2.40 to the £ then you usually will get about 2.38.
