Any chance of sinking a few holes, well out of the way of the bowlers for a little putting practice?

Great idea anyway, I hope you have great success.

Would you welcome total novices?

The surface would be the same artificial surface as is used on Bowles grounds in the rest of the world.

I am looking for persons with interest in joining such a club so that I can access the numbers, if you are interested please e-mail on:

chryscyprus@hotmail.co.uk , thank you.

I don't think so:

"The game of boules (also known as petanque) is perhaps the sport that is closest to French hearts."

Would it be an idea to allow short term temporary membership for holiday makers or maybe have a tie in with hotels to offer bowling holidays. A bowling club sounds a really good idea - most of us are in the right age group!

I think it's a good idea, but perhaps let people have a month's trial before commiting to a whole year - especially if they haven't played before?

Would be interested though.....

Hi Chrys, this sounds like a really good idea. I have played bowls for years . I was a qualified coach and umpire . Bowls appeals to all ages and is definately not just an old persons sport.

You need to get all ages involved ,have fun games ,get the kids involved ,they actually love it, as long as the older people take the time to encourage them.
