Ahead of the G20 summit do you really think that the world leaders will make any changes to the rest of the global ecoonomy. With what has been spent to stage it would keep a small country solvent. I wonder how many toys will get thrown out of the pram if the talks dont go thier ways. My money on France throwing a tantrum.

France is a good bet Lilli. At the end of the day nothing will get sorted out. They'll probably arrange another meeting for next year in a warmer climate!

Alif Porol, minister, has been invited to attand the G20 summit. He said he will only attend if he can get a direct flight.

I think there's a missed opportunity here for Alif Porol - what do you think?

Some interesting facts already emerged...

Obama turned up yesterday with 500 personel in tow... 500... of which 200 were security men the rest were staff, home secretary has sent round a couple of videos for them to watch

France has threatened to pull out of talks if their proposal for stricter financial controls are not agreed to...

Germany refuses to consider Browns call for extra billions of stimulus on the grounds that Germany needs no such injection to its economy as they do not want to see hyper inflation once the current problems ease

Number of countries have queried Browns and Obamas leadership in solving the current credit crunch because they see both US and UK as the cause in the first place.

China is calling for a single global currency... no chance; but the conspiracy theorists are loving it

My guess; nothing concrete except agreeing to more IMF oversight powers with a mention of global warming to keep the touchie feelies happy

You can say that again Lilli, have not checked the news this morning but the barricades were going up all round London yesterday evening?

Chamber of Commerce advised anyone working in banking to dress down...

In case they were targeted by protestors?

Bit like when our kids used to have an own clothes day at school ... I wonder if they will donate a few 50ps like the kids did

I am watching the riots on BBC News 24 and have to say I'm disgusted at the state of this country!

The protestors have appaling dress sense, terrible unkempt hair and awful teeth!

I have never seen so many scratchy old jumpers, disgusting trainers and body piercings!

They would all be better off watching some TV Makeover programmes!

Mr Angry of Ealing!

Apparently protestors are attacking the RBS buildings... someone forgot to tell them they now own it... unless of course they are not tax payers?

Meanwhile... transport chiefs and businesses are not too happy as one of Flash Gordons stealth taxes from last year has kicked in ... on April Fools day

2-3p tax increase on petrol per litre and with another budget due soon no doubt another hike will come our way?

A wonder the lorry drivers didn't pick today to protest and clam up London just to make a point to FlashG...with the eyes of the world on us?

All very sad :-(
