bhw , because they dont know any different , and they think by being rude they have the upper hand and they think they can belittle people just because they can . but in my experience you have to feel sorry for them, they must be angry desperate people who's only outlet is to abuse other people in order for them to feel better themselves . really quite sad dont upset yourself , they are really not worth wasting energy on' hope you feel better soon kind regards pat

Yes sorry - just needed to let off steam. McSteviet - I help out on our owners forum with anything anyone asks (try to be like UKTurk but dont know as much unfortunately) (I am one of the assistant managers) and someone had said a friend of theirs was having problems joining so I was talking it through with them (and hopefully would give vital information out to others) and I get some snotty email from someone saying it was information not needed in her inbox and was blocking it up blah blah blah - get the gist of it! It was the way it was directed at me really that upset me. Anyway funnily enough someone sent a message to this person this evening on the forum which doesnt affect any of us about her holiday and car hire!!!! You have to laugh I guess at the end of the day!

Hi Nicky Been on TBV site and seen the thread, you cant help some people. Have another glass of wine, chillout and leave them to it. Have you seen the info on the new law. We have had an E-mail from our solicitor and it looks like we have to go to London to get the Power of Attornay witnessed at the TRNC ,if we want our solicitor to register the paperwork on our behalf. Can anybody clarify this as there must be loads of us out there who cant get back to TRNC before 31st of March and will have to use P.O.A .

BHW......you have it easy! I am on night's dealing with noise and nuisance issues within the borough (name witheld) We get more than our fair share of rude people demanding one thing or another and most do not like to listen to anything but their own voices. On occassions we get more problems with the people complaining than the people making their lives a misery! I have a very good phone manner but on the odd occassion I have to teminate a call because of abusive and threatening behaviour. I would love to tape some of these people and send it to them t o listen too. It would shock most, i bet. So keep laughing BHW, respect to you. Patrick,

Hi Christine Thank you! Sorry I shouldnt be ranting on here really as never sure who sees it!!! Just had a really crap day and I know my friends on here would make me feel better (which they have, thank you). As for the new law I got the impression from our lawyer that if we paid the stamp duty plus the fee of £250 (approx) and drew up POA then she would do it all for us - I dont think there is any need to go into London (but please dont quote me on it - its just what I have read and after a few glasses of wine I may be talking rubbish!!!!!). Our lawyer said she would be in touch in a few days so as soon as I hear I will put it on our owners forum and on this forum if everyone else wants to know. Hopefully I wont get accused of posting unwanted information in certain peoples obviously very busy inbox's!!! Dont they realise how busy my inbox is with the name Boredhousewife!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha ha ha ha only joking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Tiggy I dont think I could do that job. I am always polite to people unless they are rude to me and then I try and not say anything at all in case I tell them what I really think. I have never had a row with my own sister so dont think I could row with anyone else (oh apart from hubby occasionally but I think that is allowed!).

Thanks everyone for making me feel better! The wine helps too!!!!! This is just a general feeling about people now but I do find some people very odd!! I am a person who will help anyone, talk to anyone and be friendly and well mannered but others dont have the same values as me and sometimes I think I set my standards too high. I know I need to accept people how they are but I do find it very hard sometimes as I am always very friendly with everyone. Hey ho, strange old world! Think it might be time we moved to TRNC!!!!!!!! Everyone is friendly there.

truffles 808 , thats a bit officious dont you think , "can the rant stop now and let things rest "people do have the right to get things off their chests , its a perfectly healthy way of getting rid of stress , so i see no reason why the age old practice should stop just because you say so. paul thanks its much better now regards pat

Hi all, SIMBAS - it worried I see from your postings that you never sleep are you a night owl like me??? A scientific study shows that There are two kinds of human owls in this world the "DAY OWLS" and the "NIGHT OWLS"! DAY owls are the early morning risers - who kind of get up before sunset and are flaked out by the time the 10 0clock news is on!! NIGHT- owls are the late risers who stay up all night and get on with chores and keep themselves busy whilst the DAY OWLS sleep away!! Im a NIGHT OWL and my hubbie is a DAY OWL- which means that luckily we both get individual ME TIME on a daily basis!!! Although can be a bit of a drag on the bedroom side of things sometimes as either hes too tired or Im too busy!!!! FOOD FOR THOUGHT!! Thought for the daY!!! Take care-D
