It didn't help when RBS staff were leaning out of the windows waving £10 notes and shouting at the demonstrators to "FO".

This sort of protest is not part of the BNPs agenda and is generally related to left wing anachists, so why is Blackpoolfan trying to put the blame on a legitimate political party?

Found carved on a stone outside Verulanium (modern St Albans) from the Ist century AD Roman period in the Uk.

Our 3rd form Latin class (circa 1960) came up with this slightly disgusting take on Julius Caesar's famous saying

Vidi, Vicit, Veni

- although I have seen it attributed to other sources, I feel sure that they were all influenced by us...

It is always the same with this sort of event.

Normal people go along to protest as is their right and a few idiots turn up for a fight.

Personal view, most of the western world brought on this financial problem themselves through greed. Two sides to that, the people trying to get maximum mortgages etc without thinking through the possible options. They are stupid and deserve no sympathy and should burn in hell.

Then the lenders trying to maximise their profits - let them burn in hell!!!!

Listening to a lot of alternatives, I think that within 20 years the usa and the EU will be destroyed. Their place will be taken by the Chinese RMB.

keith - correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the "proper" version I came, I saw, I conquered"?

Haven't got a clue what the naughty version means. My knowledge of Latin is extremely limited and my son isn't here to ask. ???

Another really famous palindrome found in the Basilica in Istanbul and St Stephen in Paris ... aslo on the fonts (clue to it's meaning) in many southern English churches and colleges like St Martin's in London and St Mary's in Nottingham.

Have Latinised the Greek letters as I have no Greek keyboard facility.
