i`m staying in girne for six weeks but will be back in the summer till back end of the year. would like to meet any ladies for social events during the day. just coffee and chat would be nice.

Hi nannybabs - welcome. I'm sure you'll get a lot of response to your posting. We only have a holiday home in TRNC but will be out beginning of June for three weeks - hope we may be able to meet up then with a few others.

Mikelapta i have never met, but I do read his posts, and if he wants to join the merry throng so be it. My welsh partner is always wanting to join our ladies nights when hosted at my place, so maybe the welsh guys are just a bit more tactile than some of the other guys. I for one would love to be greeted by flowers on my arrival by the lovely MikeLapta

Sweet Peas , now that takes me back , my Tad-cu used to grow them on criss cross canes , rows and rows of them . The smell as i remember was quite heady , i loved them , I did try to grow once , to no avail . You obviously have the right touch Mike

I would just like to say that I believe that 'Mikelapta' is a thoroughly nice, caring chap, and is, so far as i can see, well regarded by the majority of members.

The odd email that I have exchanged with him 'off board' together with some of his postings have created an image of an honest person with a good sense of humour.

The comments posted by myself (and I am quite sure, by madmazz and Mrs Wicks) were light hearted, and tongue-in-cheek, as shown by the liberal use of ...

However, I can only speak for myself, and I say this: -

I certainly did not intend anything that I wrote to be snide, offensive, or indeed pathetic. Yes we were 'teasing' Mikelapta a little, and perhaps we went too far. I apologise for any offence caused.

I do think that it goes to show how easily remarks on a forum, in plain text, with no accompanying 'body language' can be mis-interpreted.

One last point - Mike - for God's sake, don't tell my Partner that I give my Mistress Flowers!
