my wife's parents were born in lanaca ,ahe was born in the Uk,some say she can apply for one anyone know how to proceed ,it's my daughter who wants to reside in lapta and can apply for one after her Mum has thanks

i'm not sure but i think that children born in the uk have to apply before 18 to get the kimlik card. it would have been up to her parents to have her registered. but get info from the embassy in London if you are there. it's 29 Bedford Sq, Tottenham Crt Rd. Tel 0207 631 1920 or if you are in Cyprus go to the Ministy of Interiors in Lefkoşa as you need to find out correctly and they will tell you what will be required if she can qualify. good luck

Hi Basheer,



Your wife needs her passport, her parents TRNC birth certificates, thier kimlic cards and she (your wife needs to apply for a TRNC birth cert.) This can take up to year (so I've been told by the heads at bedford sq) Im married to a cypriot also.



You can apply once she has all this.

thanks her parents left lanaca around 1950 my wife have their passports and married certificates certifing their place of birth,they don't have kimlit cards as they never went back,hope that will suffice thanks
