A Play... The Body Politique... by Joseph



Act 1 Scene I



The brain and the heart are having an argument as to who should be in charge of the body politique?



The Brain: I am the most important, and should be leader, after all, I am the most intellegent and most adept at dreaming up taxes to forever charge all the other body parts with.I never feel any pain when things are bad and when they are... I'll think up another tax?



The Heart: No way... I am the most important because I work non stop from birth to death to pay all the damn taxes you dream up, besides I am the seat of love for all and do my best to be fair to all my neighbours?



The Anus: I claim leadership and I'm going on strike to prove my point.



The heart soon began to feel unwell and the blood flow slowed so much it resulted in the brain being starved of oxygen. As matters quickly deteriorated the heart and brain both caved in and the anus was elected leader.

Our thanks go to the following actors in our play.



Cast:



The Brain.... New Labour

The Heart... Hard working people

The Anus... The Bankers



I am thinking of writing a book about my play, having it staged on the West End to sell out audiences, eventually having a movie made about the play and starting a toy craze so little kids can collect the figures which in years to come will be worth a fortune.



Who would you cast in the play

Would you believe it... complaints already from the cast...



The Heart is moaning that the brain is having a budget soon and plans on telling it to pump harder as it needs an extra £1500 per heart just to stand still, and worse ... it is trying to think up other schemes to make the heart work harder.



Added to that the Heart has discovered The Anus is full of "sxxt" and wants to start releasing it all over the place?



The Anus has countered that this is no longer to be called worthless "sxxt" but

in future is to be known as quantative easing...



Heart complaining of stress...

Hi Richard... great observation but the ship is beginning to right itself as the silence breaks



No1 and Lilli...



I called a meeting earlier with the cast and gave them "what for" along the lines of No1 advice. Have to go out now but am hoping to knock some sense into 'em otherwise they will be voted off.



Very upset with the Brain... I discovered it was staying in another house not it's own and claiming expenses... it was even downloading porn movies to the account?



The Heart, God bless it, continues to work hard but it too complained saying there was an awful smell emanating from the Anus.



The Anus ,meanwhile,continues to make a lot of very rude noises.



Please feel free to write in any scenes you think appropiate
