Not only living the dream but realising just how important it is to appreciate that fact. Also realising that life is indeed too short and rememberng not to waste precious time on worrying about what is not really that important when you think you could be dead tomorrow. Sobering but true.

Bill

Yes to the first and no to the second.

rtddci

Absolutely correct, I have just seen my neighbour and friend buried (yesterday) and he had achieved some amazing things in his life. It wakes you up when something like that happens.

Me too. Just got back from 10 days in the UK. Had a great time but now have a horrible cold and throat. Loving being back in the sun.

Oh and in my opinion, you're never too young to retire!

Msg 14 , Never truer words spoken . Life is too short , my brother -in- law died this morning his wife died 40 days ago , their son was badly burned in a fire and although he survived he is in a hell of a mess . Life is precious and is too short to be bitching about silly stupid things . We should embrace each day as it comes and be kind and helpful to other people and appreciate them for what they are and not what we think they should be .

My brother in law has advanced parkinsons, only 54,an old school friend has just had a stroke aged 51 (same as me),life IS too short and precious to waste time worrying or getting worked up. Yes,it can be really irritating out here, but so can Britain. I love it here and will carry on doing so.

Sukie any thing is possible. We came here to buy a place to retire lost money took on a restaurant with people from wales whom we trusted . They did a runner to south africa resut lost all the money we had. Result we are still here workinghard but loving it. It is not easy and I miss family life so much you would not beleive. If you want a better life you couldnt do better than here. Not sue about wok as you have sen by the various posts but if you can affod it rent fo a time and let fate decide.
