I understand the car has to be less than 5 years old unless you have owned it since new.

If your car is coming from Europe you’ll pay 40.04% of the value of the car in tax, if your car is of non-European origin then you’ll be charged 65.12%. On all cars you will pay an additional USD1200 for cars under 1600cc, USD3000 for cars between 1600cc and 2000cc and then USD3600 for cars with an engine capacity over 2000cc.

best advice leave your car at home.I was in trnc in mid jan rules are changing all the time. No left hand drives. up to 60tax on glasses guide A1 condition regardless of the actual condition. yes you can avoid the tax for a while but you will still have to pay. The police are pulling over people and giving tickets out to have car emmisions tests you have i think 2 weeks to get it done. you can not sell your car for two years. These are things i picked up on while there fairly accurate i hope. while buying a car out there may be more expensive. no import duties no tax no bother. I can see why this is happening. so as not to flood the counttry with imported cars making a fast buck and a glut of cars.

i have a question...I would like to import a Hummer H3 from the U.S to North Cyprus, it comes with left hand drive, can i bring it to North Cyprus? Do you have any garage to change it from LHD to RHD?

It is illegal to import LH drive vehicles to North Cyprus.
