mobility scooters ... any ideas on where to hire them?

i have an elderly gentleman wishing to visit Kyrenia from the UK but he isnt good on his legs - a mobility scooter would be ideal - any ideas where or if its possible to hire them ?

Are the roads and pavements safe enough over here to use a mobility scooter?



I had my mother here with crutches whilst she was waiting for a hip replacement and the pavements were a nightmare for her, very uneven and huge kerb stones.

The company to contact is Enable Holiday Mobility http://www.enableholidaymobility.com/ We hired a powered wheelchair for my mother-in-law and it was excellent as was their service. Not sure that I would let anybody loose on their own on these roads/pavements on a mobility scooter though. There are plenty of ramps around but most are very steep and not very safe IMO.
