Turbo - interesting that she will be on Oprah next week - agree, talk about instant fame! I appreciate that she has taken the US by storm, as she has the UK, but I fear that this very ordinary woman, albeit with a lovely voice, will be "eaten up and spat out" - fame can be a very fleeting thing and this lady is neither wordly-wise or cynical enough to deal with it. I worry for her.

I was sickened to read the headline on the front page of The Express yesterday, "Hairy Angel takes USA by storm". What a reptilian, offensive, foul remark to print, as though a person is judged by aesthetics and nothing else. Clearly the lady doesn't use make-up or eyebrow tweezers, so what? She is a middle aged single woman who is who she is, and who has a rather good singing voice. I wouldn't say she has the best voice in the world - mass hysteria is taking over - whipped up by Simon Cowell et al, and the media, but whilst I truly hope she gets great riches, as in money, travel, life experiences - out of this, one fears she will be 'taken over' and turned into something/someone she isn't. Time will tell.

I read in papers that she had learning difficulties, lived with her mother until

she died last year, and was understandably devasted. So glad to see her wipe

the smug smiles of those who can't see beyond face value. Good luck to her.
