I don't expect too many responses with people giving their personal financial detials, but I'm wondering if it's too good to be true? Are their any downsides? How long is the money tied up for? I know FMA look on this forum, I know they now advertise here as well, so perhaps they will be able to help. I prefer their info to be in the public domain, as opposed to a friendly chat.

I have looked at Lira bonds but issued and backed by Euopean Banks e.g. EIB European Investment Bank, they still offer attractive rates and are rated highly by independent Credit Agencies. You need to speak directly with FMA re length of time and draw downs in the period. I know they are advertising some Australian bonds and I understand they are trying to arrange seminar's by the financial institution offering the bonds. You have to make your own decisions one's that still allow you to sleep at night! Which ever way you go you still have to consider exchange rate movements over the period of your investments. I think we have all changed our views on banks and investments over the last 12 months

I always use the agage - if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Given the current financial climate I would not be placing cash in anything of medium to high risk, especially if you cannot afford to loose the money.

I keep thinking of that Madoff guy, he was offering high returns for investing with him. Got away with it for years. He was recommended by those who you'd think would know where to invest. Just shows the dangers.

The Investment products FMA are advertising are LOW RISK Investments via offshore Life Companies based in the Isle of Man - regulated by FSA etc. My advice would be to speak to Scott at FMA direct - it will ease the confusion and stop all the miss information. I did!!!
