Last night I had the best lamb balti I've ever had at Al Shaheen. We are regular customers there but Imtiaz has recently returned from Pakistan and is now serving food the way they serve it in Pakistan. The lamb was deliciously spicy and arrived with fresh tomato pieces, coriander and shavings of fresh ginger. It was absolutely delicious. Please go and try it you won't be disappointed.

Has the service improved? Last twice we have been it has been absolutely terrible so was not contemplating going again although the food was nice when it eventually turned up.

Al Shaheen is on the main road in Karakum, just further along from Lemar and the new motor bike shop, and opposite the speed camera.

Sorry to hear the complaint from Ozankoys about the service. I have never experienced a problem. All the food is cooked freshly as if is ordered so if the restaurant is busy then you can expect some delay. I hope Ozankoys will give it another try because I'd hate them to miss out on a excellent curry!
