Have been offered a 22 year old Pajero 2.5 diesel turbo that had engine replaced in 1963. They want £4k for this - is this a reasonable price for a 22 years old Pajero over here. Body work looks immaculate.

No. Sorry, don't get it!

Flopsie,

Try this but beware as the information on most of the sites is always a bit out of date:

There is a 20 year old Pajero LWB, Auto, T/Diesel for sale on the board for £2K and that is not a bad deal provided the TRNC registration date in the log book reflects the age of the car - that would lower the road tax considerably.

Hope this helps.

Woops, forgot a bit, the Pajero was only produced from 1982 to present day so if you are offered a vehicle that had an engine replacement in 1963 it is not a Pajero. Probably engine replacement was in 1993 but at £4K it is two much to ask for it. £2.5K max and only if in tip top condition as it is a Mk1 Pajero and the Mk2 is a much better vehicle.

Try Tassas as well PH 2253726 which have a good selection of 2-3 year old Japanense cars in very good condition

Don't forget annual TRNC registration costs are based on weight and large 4WD cars can be very expensive to keep on the road (the difference can be over a thousand TL a year or nearly 2,000 if you have a Hummer or big Landcruiser etc).
