Try the Brabantia shop in the road opposite 1001 shop in Girne - slightly more expensive than others, but they do last a lot longer

Thanks, I was going to ask where I could buy a Brabantia one but I didn't think that they would be available in TRNC.

Brabantia are cheaper here than in the south, we priced them up. As they are so expensive over here, my husband bought some wood, sprayed it, erected it in our garden & I now have a lovely strong washing line!! cost approx 5tl good eh x

Find some Morris Dancers, give them a line and a few pegs with your washed clothes and they'll have them dried in no time!

Thanks all for the sensible answers. I can understand why people get upset with some of the replies though. You must be very sad Richard if you're having to read and make inane comments to threads on washing lines for amusement.

You're so correct, I don't wash or buy clothes as there is no need living on my own in my humble cave receiving no friends, as I have none and wonder around my little dwelling starkers. I'm very sad growing my food, attending my little herd and distilling my own hooch. So I do not know nor worry about the subtle intrinsic details of washing lines. Sorry I cannot help you this time in your hour of need.

We bought one in Marshalls last week, It was expensive at 110 lira but it seems very good. Stood up to all the wind.

I would have thought the eighth word in Msg9 might have given you a clue. My cave is located in an area of Cyprus which the British Army in the early '60s forgot to burn and the crop grows in abundance so apart from making rope to while away the time in perfect peace, I smoke it!

Message 15 - surely the eighth word in your message 9 is "and"?

Now, I know I'm a bit thick (because you told me so), but "and"?

PS Still up for word games? Your spelling certainly hasn't improved any.

Mrs Wicks,

I'll whisper this, and with a bit of luck, no one will notice...

The 8th word was 'line'

I think he's refering to HEMP!

Keith.
