| It seems the British Government has reneged on earlier rulings for the rights of Gurkhas to take up residency in the UK. Any successful candidate must have served a minimum of 20yrs in the British Army. An unemployed Gypsy with Aids from Eastern Europe would have a quicker chance of taking up residency! Richard |

| hi brin this does sound a little unfair! i will say last night i spend filling in a friends visa application for the uk, she only want a 2 week holiday to visit family. i was shocked at the things they wanted to know and how difficult it would be to complete the application if english wasn't your first language. i think the problem is that some of the countries which joined the eu, have too many people looking to relocate elsewhere, dreaming of a better life. i think if you or i were in their situation we would probably be doing the same thing. the e.u need to pressure these countries to make staying home more attractive for its own people! |
