It seems the British Government has reneged on earlier rulings for the rights of Gurkhas to take up residency in the UK. Any successful candidate must have served a minimum of 20yrs in the British Army. An unemployed Gypsy with Aids from Eastern Europe would have a quicker chance of taking up residency!

hi brin

this does sound a little unfair!

i will say last night i spend filling in a friends visa application for the uk, she only want a 2 week holiday to visit family.

i was shocked at the things they wanted to know and how difficult it would be to complete the application if english wasn't your first language.

i think the problem is that some of the countries which joined the eu, have too many people looking to relocate elsewhere, dreaming of a better life.

i think if you or i were in their situation we would probably be doing the same thing.

the e.u need to pressure these countries to make staying home more attractive for its own people!

True about Official form filling in the UK. Even with an English Degree it still can be a minefield navigating goblygook however, take a look at some of the English text books foreign students have to study from, incomprehensible!
