Just ask them to send the Honey Wagon or the SST that's what we call them anyway.

Few minutes of pumping and you will be sorted, if they empty it remember to prime it again with yeast.

in my office in Kyrenia we had a similar problem, we called out a guy with a truck name is Cengiz DOGAN, 05338 621640, 0542 854 0370. He did a good job and shiffted what had to be shiffted.

If your septic tank (actually a cess pit) is overflowing it may need emptying but I doubt if it is actually full. It will always be full to the level of the outflow pipe with liquid. The requirement to empty is to remove the solids and sludge. Even if the sludge level is high it should still drain the liquid away to the soak away. There is therefore another problem. It will be either a blocked pipe to the soak away or the soak away is full. This can occur in some areas of Girne especially behind Astro where there is rock quite near the surface and therefore the ground is not permeable enough to soak away the liquid effluent. I did mention this in my last Mr Fixit article in Cyprus Today.

You should call John of Cyprus Solutions on 0533 836 9074. I am afraid that the idea if priming with yeast will have no other effect than to enrich the yeast manufacturers!

I have to say that increasingly communal systems are a problem, poor design and build do not help but usually it is easy to fix.
