Hi Pipie

Everytime we go back to the TRNC we call into the Kibtek office and top up our account. I dont think that there is a reserve amount of money you have to keep in your account. When we first started doing this, we kicked off the account with YTL 50.

We are going back at the end of this month, and now that we have a bank account at the Turk Bankasi, we will set up a direct debit with Kibtek.

Thankyou Bob .

Not sure if the amount we are being charged is because we are an apartment on a complex , we are bieng told that we have to keep £75 reserve in our account , this amount is just sitting there as for 10 months we have paid our bills regardless never touching the reserve amount .

just needed to know if there is anyone out there who is requested by Kibtek that a compulsary amount has to be kept in the account .

Hi Pipie

We too have an apartment on a complex at TBV Esentepe. We were never informed by Kibtek that we had to keep GBP75 in our account at any one time. We kicked off our account with YTL50 in October, when we took possession, and signed over the Electric from the TBV Maintenance company to us, at Kibtek.

We have never been asked to keep an amount in reserve, just pay in every six months and leave it in credit by about £30
