I collect right wing C&W (Country & Western) music ONLY. Artists: Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willy Nelson and others. And - to show my good taste - Hank Williams Sr. Favorite (favourite) song: Merle Haggard, The Fightin' side of me.

First two line of my favorite (favourite) C&W song:

I hear people talkin' bad,

About the way we have to live here in this country,

I used to be 'iffy' about Country until someone gave me a Garth Brooks CD.

I went to see him live in Belfast, at the end of his world tour.

One of the best shows I have ever seen, very little 'yee-har', but some brilliant songs, some very touching love songs.

Anyone remember Ronan Keatings version of 'If Tommorow Never Comes'? Get a Garth Brooks DVD and see the original!

Even Robert Plant from Led Zep is now 'doing' Country!

Apart from that, eclectic tastes, Abba to ZZ Top.... pet hates are Heavy Metal and Modern Jazz.

dee. I love a bit of classical. When I'm sitting on the terrace looking at the mountains on a warm summer evening, glass of amarone - without a care in the world.........then the wife calls out.."we've got no water again!"

That gave me a chuckle this morning, I also don't like country "She smokes like a chimney and drinks like a fish" are lyrics from another 'country' song.

i love the beatles and 60's music but i also love soul and motown, coming to live in North Cyprus i have come to love Turkish music too and wish more restaurants would play turkish music in the background rather than 'orville' or such likes.

Hi Denise we play a wonderful dvd called Anotolian Skies which is a bit like turkish riverdance. The music is specatular as is the dancing. It has to be seen. It would appear they tour all over the world. The whirling deverish are truely amazing. What they can do just on the point of thier toes.I cannot get enough of it. xxxxx
