Does anyone know of cat boarding kennels here in TRNC as we only read about dog hotels ? We know of carers that come to your home to feed the cat but don't want this.

Rose, Why the need for sarcasm? I thought that was the whole idea of forums, To ask for and to offer advice to the members! It's due to answers like yours that I have visited the forum so little of late. I have done a little volunteer work for Kar in the past so what's the problem? I wanted advice from the members here as to where is best to board a cat, NOT from Kar, else I should've asked them!!!!!

Don't know if this is up to date: Lapta Dog and Cat Hotel on +90 392 821 2395 - it was on the About Cyprus website. It also says try KAR for details of kennels/catteries.

Thanks for the replies all and advice to firestarter, Maybe you would benefit from a course in communication skills? Alternative wording for your first reply might have been better as follows: You should try asking Kar as apparently they have details of cat and dog kennels.

I left this site earlier because of the numpties that have nothing better to do than knock every post where they think they can gain a bit of ground.

I would like to know if there is a cattery here as well. Honestly, really, I do.

A simple yes or no or a post indicating positive information would be very helpfull to those of us who really want to get on with just enjoying the place and sek information from sites like this.

=> For those interested and for those who are new on the Northern part of the island of Cyprus I'd like to add the following about the NCDC (Northern Cyprus Dog and Cat Hotel: http://www.wilenco.net ). The owner is Willy (and wife Lena) Lindh, who, although he's Swedish, is considered a TRNC hero. Willy is a very modest man, but his attitude as a young UN lieutenant towards the beleaguered Turkish Cypriots (Erenköy) is known where it should be known. He got his honorary TRNC citizenship from former President Rauf Denktash. I'm proud to know him.



PS. This addition is not meant to disqualify any other DC-hotel, errrm, I mean Dog & Cat Hotel.

Hi DC i second that as you all know i add to my collection weekly and Lena and Willy take such good care of my babies when we go back to UK. They are the lovest people who reallly care. Years ago I looked after a Kanga for a fien who was suppposed to come back to have her dog and two cats they had done a runner lef me with th three poor souls. He di come back and after two weeks asked for the return of hier animals. Reculanly I did hand them back as I had no choice. They were then placed with Lena and willy . a period of about 7 months elasped and Willy rang to see if we could take the dog as he toook the space of two. He had not been paid for any of them but the cats were no trouble. In the meantime I had shipped my stafi from UK and had adopted my lovely Valentine. They even wanted to build a run so I could separate them. We run a rstaurant and I could not do it sadly.Willy had to put this dog down as they didnt pay him. He tried every avenue available to hm o reach a happy end. I w
