Well done Izzet. Any chance of lodging an official complaint somewhere about the hacking wich is a criminal offence?

Thank you Ismet.

If you know anyone who would take this seriously, please let me know by email ismet.

Cyprus44 is one of the very few websites about North Cyprus, where a lot and i repeat a lot of people use before making their decision to come for a holiday or buy a property, etc. Government websites are very basic and do not give enough info.

I think government officials should support websites like these, for trnc's good.

Thank you Teresa.

I really wish Mark took a backup of the villa owners board.

It had so much valuable information and it's a pity that we lost that.

Good to see you are back and that all your information is still available; I am sure it must have been a stressful time for all the administration team.

To all the members who took the opportunity to join and visit other North Cyprus boards - you were very welcome!

Please remember to look in again when you have time. There is room for more than one board, and contrary to what some people think, there is a strong spirit of co-operation between the board admins.

Now, if we can just fix the words not being cut at the end of each line, when the writer dares to go over the end of a line, then it would make reading much easier.

A HUGE welcome back, like they say, you never know what you have until it's gone. Not a big poster on the board but certainly a big follower, and appreciate all the information, advice over the years.

Keep going

Regards

Julie

Hi all,

It might surprise some folk, but I am VERY sad that the actions of some "script kiddy social misfits" have either broken or destroyed some websites / forums.

I feel it is better to allow debate and differing viewpoints.

Re message 4 Well done Izzet, I dont know what went wrong, but I am one of those lots of people who is using this site to get an informed idea on whether or not to retire out there.

I have not made a lot of postings but when I have the replies were very helpfull

I do however read the vast majority of posts and find the site a place where info is not only redably available

but very imformative topical and very very interesting.

I heard about this from my partner who is currently in Girne - Cyprus Today covered it. Just to say great that you have come back and in such short a time off the web.

Is there any chance that press releases from yourselves plus the report in Cyprus Today could be sent to the UK national press - it may work - better than do nothing option. One of the UK nationals may pick it up as they are currently more upfront with the adverts for holidays in Northern Cyprus - they shouldnt be allowed to get away with this as what or who will be next?

bondi - a very good point! Perhaps if a national newspaper picked it up (OK - not headline stuff, but every little helps) it MAY just MAY start to dispel some of the myths that still surround the TRNC.

RE msg 29, bondi > Is there any chance that press releases from yourselves plus the report in Cyprus Today could be sent to the UK national press <

=> I suggest we do nothing of the sort. Some sites just had a technical problem. The problems have been solved. Let's stop talking about it - don't give the culprits more reasons to laugh than they already did in the past days. Any publicity will make them feel important and it won't help our cause at all. The only thing that helps is a technical precaution so It can't happen again.
